Vincent Goes North returns this September

Vincent Goes North returns this September with a new edition of the photography program for young people from the Amsterdam region.

Throughout the program, participants explore how photography and storytelling can be used to translate personal experiences into visual work. Inspired by the life and legacy of Vincent van Gogh, they develop their own photographic project and accompanying spoken-word piece.

Guided by professionals from the creative field, participants experiment with composition, light, storytelling and scenography while developing their own artistic voice. The program encourages them to explore themes such as identity, resilience and perspective through image and text.

Vincent Goes North is organized in collaboration with the Van Gogh Museum. Throughout the program, participants take part in workshops, visit the museum and work towards a public presentation of their final projects.

Previous editions resulted in exhibitions at the Van Gogh Museum and presentations across Amsterdam through JCDecaux, bringing the participants’ work into both cultural and public spaces.

Participation is free.

The new edition starts in the week of 14 September and takes place weekly in Amsterdam Noord.
