Filmschool

Film School is a creative film program for young people from the Amsterdam region who want to explore visual storytelling and make a short film from scratch.

Over the course of 12 weeks, participants work in teams to create their own short film: from concept and script to directing, camera work, sound and editing. They are guided by professionals from the film industry and use real equipment to bring their story to life.

The program centers around social themes. Participants are encouraged to reflect on what matters to them and translate that into a visual narrative.

Film School is more than just a technical crash course. It is a space to experiment, collaborate and grow both creatively and personally. The process concludes with a public premiere, where the films are shown on the big screen.

Participation is free and open to anyone aged 18 to 30 from the Amsterdam area. No prior experience needed. Sessions take place weekly in Amsterdam.
