During Museumnacht Amsterdam, participants from the spring edition of Vincent Goes North presented their work at the Van Gogh Museum.
In the centre of the museum, visitors could explore a series of poems, portraits and photographs created by the participants. Each piece reflected a personal story: inspired by Van Gogh’s life and spirit, yet deeply rooted in the makers’ own experiences, perspectives and questions.
Over the course of several months, the group worked through a series of workshops in photography, storytelling and visual expression, guided by professionals from the field. They learned how to translate personal experiences into images, find their own visual language and use creativity to explore themes such as identity, resilience and belonging.
The Vincent Goes North program is organized in collaboration with the Van Gogh Museum. This exhibition formed part of that ongoing partnership, aimed at connecting young makers with the museum’s stories, spaces and audiences.
A big thank you to Ilias Zian, Project Lead of Van Gogh Verbindt, and the team at the Van Gogh Museum for their collaboration and support, and to all participants for their creativity, openness and energy during this special night.
