Looking at museums differently with Cultuur Krakers

Cultuur Krakers returns this September with a new edition for young people who want to rethink the relationship between museums and younger audiences.

Throughout the program, participants work closely with cultural institutions to explore how museums can become more accessible, relevant and engaging for a new generation.

Through research, museum visits, workshops and conversations with professionals from the cultural sector, participants examine the visitor experience from their own perspective. They explore topics such as inclusion, participation, communication and audience engagement before translating their insights into practical concepts.

Supported by professionals from the museum and cultural field, participants learn how ideas are developed within institutions and how to present proposals that are both creative and realistic.

The program concludes with participants pitching their concepts directly to museum professionals, creating an opportunity for dialogue between young people and cultural institutions.

Participation is free.

The new edition starts in the week of 21 September and takes place weekly in Amsterdam.
